At Dining Bar Joys, part of the fun of ordering takoyaki is choosing your own combination of seasoning and toppings. Options include sauce and mayonnaise, ponzu, soy sauce, salt, spicy cod roe mayonnaise, and sesame oil with salt or salted kelp. You can add up to 2 toppings for free, including spring onion, cheese and kimchi. Shrimp-yaki, squid-yaki and quail egg-yaki are also available, each for 660 yen. Go for the classic sauce, or try a combination with salt or sesame oil.

For a more substantial bite, there are rice balls with a choice of filling. Options include tuna mayonnaise, cod roe, grilled meat and pork kimchi; each rice ball costs 1 yen. Side dishes include rolled omelette (520 yen), seared cod roe (490 yen) and napa cabbage kimchi (410 yen). Enjoy a few alongside the takoyaki or add a rice ball to make the meal more filling.

The bar also serves alcoholic drinks, including beer and cocktails. It is open from 20:00 until 5:00 the following morning, every day except Sunday. The menu makes it easy to pair something grilled with a drink in the evening.
